Twenty-six-year-old Zoe Hana Mikuta drinks at least two cups of tea a day and can be found stealing herbs from her neighbors’ gardens. She is the author of the YA sci-fi Gearbreakers duology and YA dark fantasy standalones Off With Their Heads and The Coven Tendency. Her YA romance debut, A Totally Fake Love Story, is upcoming from Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers in March 2027.

Zoe has a B.A. in creative writing from the University of Washington and is currently based in Chicago. Her favorite authors are Shirley Jackson and Toni Morrison.
